THE TRADITION

St Patrick's weekend in Leeds just would not be the same without an appearance from seminal Leeds Irish group THE TRADITION.
The band formed around 1989 and blazed a trail all over the North of England with their brand of raggle taggle Irish fare for many years.
Back for the 8th year for another special celebration of the most Irish of Saints days the gig will take place in The Brudenell Social Club on Saturday 12th March 2016.
On the night expect music of the likes of The Pogues, U2, The Waterboys, Van Morrison, The Dubliners, The Cranberries, The Saw Doctors, Planxty, Thin Lizzy, The Undertones The Cranberries, Christy Moore,The Divine Comedy,The Clancy Brothers and much more.

Taking to the stage on the night as The Tradition will be -

Sean Gavaghan
Anyone and everyone involved in Irish music circles knows exactly who Sean Gavaghan or "Gav" is.
The 7 time All Ireland champion is a legend of Irish Music.
The Muhammad Ali of the Piano Accordion.

Eugene Mallon
Eugene of Longford stock is know as one of the North's finest ballad singers.
As comfortable belting out tracks from Johnny Cash to Christy Moore. A fine showman to boot.

Johnny and Michael Cronin
The Cronin brothers have had great success in Ireland since they moved back there 12 years ago.
Hitting the charts on a number ofoccasions with both "The Aftermath" and new project "Cronin" as well as featured on film soundtracks.
The have collaborated and shared the stage with such diverse people as Shane MacGowan from The Pogues to Nial Horan from 1 Direction to Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

Martin Gray
Leeds bassist Martin enjoyed many years as part of The Aftermath along with the Cronin's.
Know on the circuit as one of the baddest, funky mothers around.
