Mi Mye

Mi Mye is thought of as an open conversation, the selected short stories of Jamie Lockhart's thoughts. Lockhart grew up in a tiny fishing village on the far north coast of Scotland, a village full of stories about the devil and great fish, and relocated to Wakefield, a small city full of independent music. Over the years Mi Mye has become a band of five with Rob, Chad, Morgan and Emily.

‘The Sympathy Sigh’ Mi Mye's new album will be released on 12” vinyl and digital download through Philophobia/ Hide & Seek on August 5th and this is the party.

These two ace bands are playing with us on the Saturday, there is also another gig happening the day before at The Red Shed in Wakefield (with more ace bands) which you can get a Wakefield and Leeds ticket for, and a bundle ticket with the 12" vinyl.

Post War Glamour Girls (spoken word set)

Post War Glamour Girls are a much loved band, everyone knows them and they are obviously totally amazing. "On the off chance that you don't know who they are imagine one of the best things ever and that's it'" that's a quote from Emily Mi Mye. This show gives you the chance to hear all the lyrics without all that pesky noise.

Crake

This is something really worth seeing. It's the first show of Rowan Sandal's new project, which is on it's way to becoming an inspiring new band (stay tuned for whole-band shows later in the year with Alice from Post War, Sarah from Esper Scout and Emily from Mi Mye). This show is stripped back so we can hear Rowan's amazing song writing. These are some of the greatest new song I've heard in recent times and I'm totally chuffed that she is going to be part of this show. Rowan co-wrote on the amazing Floyd by The Spills which she might well cover at our show.
