Brudenell Piano Sessions
hosted by Simeon Walker & Kezia Tomsett
Building on it’s growing reputation as one of Leeds’ essential live music nights, Brudenell Piano Sessions return for the first event of 2020 with an exciting event highlighting women working in composition. Co-curated by host Simeon Walker and emerging film composer & producer Kezia Tomsett, this show features composers working in a variety of musical disciplines incorporating music for film, alongside elements of electronic music, experimentation and improvisation.
Featuring London-based pianist & composer Melissa Parmenter; Bristol-based film composer & classical electronic artist Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres; and Leeds artists singer-songwriter KARI, and composer & improviser Laura Cole, this event seeks to shine a light on composers from across the UK using the piano as a central aspect to their work.
Join us at the Brudenell for the first in a series of diverse, eclectic and intimate shows programmed for 2020 gathered around the piano.
