Risk is a strategy board game of diplomacy, conflict and conquest for two to six players. The standard version is played on a board depicting a political map of the world, divided into forty-two territories, which are grouped into six continents. Turn rotates among players who control armies of playing pieces with which they attempt to capture territories from other players, with results determined by dice rolls. Players may form and dissolve alliances during the course of the game. The goal of the game is to occupy every territory on the board and in doing so, eliminate the other players.
And here's our version...
Brudenell Presents: The socially distant game of world domination with BIG RISK on our BIG SCREEN in the community room. No rolling dice, no touching playing pieces, no board! Just a MASSIVE MAP ON OUR MASSIVE SCREEN!
We will have six teams of up to six players on socially distanced tables (all arranged around the screen like the UN summit).
All the action will take place on our big screen. When it is your turn you will select a spokesperson for your team to give orders to our host who will make the magic happen on the screen!
Playing this way will encourage discussion and diplomacy within each budding empire. Will your empire be forged by a democracy or a dictatorship? Let's find out...
The Version of RISK we will be playing will be the standard 42 Territory map, using the rules dictated by the computer, meaning only one reinforcement per turn. We will also be using the BLITZ rule which speeds up the dice rolling process!
This will be a pilot night so anything could happen. We will aim to kick off at 19:30 so please arrive before!
You MUST book a ticket to attend and take part in this event. Tickets are available per group and are available via See Tickets (or the link above).
