Brudenell presents...

POZI

+ Failyer

Formed in 2018, POZI are a three piece (Toby – drums and vocals, Rosa – violin and vocals and Tom – bass and vocals) from South London who've used the skeletal sound of drums, bass and violin to create discordant, visceral post-punk music that is ‘absolutely gripping, unique, minimal and powerful’’(Brooklyn Vegan)

The band's songs visit themes like unhappy Christmases, community tragedy and our obsession with technology, exemplifying a desire to explore the more melancholic side of human existence. Marrying influences such as ESG, Au Pairs, The Fall, Devo and Television Personalities, their debut album, PZ1, out now on PRAH Recordings, is filled with socio-political carols and reflections of modern life played out via ‘jagged post-punk frantic rhythms and heart stopping rugged melodies’Rough Trade.

Touted by Lauren Laverne/6Musicas ‘Ones to watch in 2019’and already a firm favourite of Marc Riley’s, they are fast developing a reputation for their impassioned and intense live act. You can catch them at the below venues:

"Powerful stuff”

Lauren Laverne, BBC6 Music

“Last night [...] we found out that they’re nothing short of absolutely brilliant live”

Marc Riley, BBC6 Music

“I love a short song! That sounds like something you find in the back of Rough Trade from 1982”
