Mansion of Snakes

It's Cloth Cat's annual post New Year fundraiser at the legendary Brudenell Social Club and this will start our 20th year birthday celebrations (God knows how we made it this far!!)

We'd like you to come and help us celebrate and hopefully raise some money for the charity too! We have managed to assemble an amazing line up and it's always a really fun night so we hope you can make it down.

On the bill we have:
Mansion of Snakes
Mansion of Snakes is a 12 piece behemoth playing earth-shaking afrobeat, devil-funk and cosmic jazz. Fronted by blazing horns and backed by pounding percussion and bass, the band fuses the influences of Nigerian afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti with Pharoah Sanders, Funkadelic and a punk energy.

The 309s
Vintage 40s & 50s American, mixing up western swing, country blues and rock n roll, with lots of fiddle!

The Watermelon Complex
Blues, Funk and Rock and Roll band that draws on influences from the likes of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Chuck Berry and Frank Zappa.

The Post Service
Firm Cloth Cat favourites, they're incredibly talented, funny, creative, lovely and guarantee a most excellent time, playing a concoction of unusual covers from over the years in a most entertaining fashion!

DJing comes from Ali Burns with some up tempo party beats!

And your compere for the evening will be the one and only A Short Dark Stranger so it's bound to be fun!

There'll be a raffle too and should be a night of fun and great music so bring your dancing shoes!
