Wildest Dreams Festival
Shadowlark, Sam Airey, Albert af Ekenstam, Bearfoot Beware, Fierce Ideas, Josh Flowers
An all day charity festival featuring some of the best up & coming artists for 2018.
Wildest Dreams is all for a better cause also, with half the proceeds going to support children separated from an imprisoned parent across Europe through the change-making charity Children of Prisoners Europe (or COPE, for short). COPE's small staff works extremely hard to change attitudes, behaviours and policies on the European level, so that children with imprisoned parents are cared for and protected. When a parent is sent to prison, people rarely think of the impact this can have on the children left behind. On top of the obvious stress and upheaval, these kids often face discrimination, stigmatisation, uncertainty, loss of self-esteem and feelings of guilt and shame.
COPE’s Assistant Director Hannah Lynn has been working for them for over four years: sharing good practice across Europe, advocating for policy change at the European and UN levels and running their annual campaign "Not My Crime, Still My Sentence".
