Brudenell presents...
Cambodian Space Project
+ The Wharf Street Galaxy Band
The Cambodian Space Project are bringing their distinctive mix of surf rock, Cambodian psychedelia, and rock n roll to Leeds this summer. Heavily influenced by the unique sounds of 1960s Khmer garage rock and pop (which the band often cover), their music blends a host of genres with the incredible vocals of lead singer Srey Thy. It promises to be something definitely different and heaps of fun.
The Wharf Street Galaxy Band may be from your near future but they are also looking back into your past. With their feet firmly grounded in the heavy groove of Funkadelic and Parliament, their groins spinning in a heady mix of Spaceman 3 and AR Kane, and their heads firmly screwed on with a wrench previously owned by The Fall and The Pop Group, The Wharf Street Galaxy Band serve up sociopolitical slabs of goodness served in a stew of deep misanthropy.
