Backyard Burners

Backyard Burners have a raw country/bluegrass sound. Their extensive repertoire includes several bluegrass classics, a few more modern country numbers and some rock and roll hits. Occasionally they will throw in the odd punk song with a bluegrass feel.

The band are Mark & Lewis Pugh (father and son) and Lewis's partner Sarah. All three sing. 
Formed in 2012, the band honed their craft on various street corners around the north of England. They play as much as they can, gigging anywhere that will have them. 
The band have a strong DIY ethic and May 2015 saw the band self-release their debut album of mainly original songs. 
Their sound is bluegrass inspired, but has influences from rock 'n roll, country and punk.
