Joint Farewell Show

Magnapinna & Invisible Cities

+ Unwave + Juffage

MAGNAPINNA
Three men of non-doing.  Unparallelled and unfuckwithable repeato-rock power-trio write songs that sound like thrusting pistons, hazardous goods manufacturing plants and revving boat motors.

INVISIBLE CITIES
Invisible Cities are four friends operating bass, drums, guitar, and viola.  Densely layered and structurally complex, they have carried on being quietly awesome for the past 6 years.  They have occasionally been glanced at by journalists, who dubbed them “undoubtedly good” (Drowned in Sound) and “feisty and engaging” (Folly of Youth).  Now with added Jeff (Juffage) as their third and final drummer and a recording on the way, they are drawing to a close in style.

With support from:

UNWAVE
Like a wave, but not. This trio offer twisted laments of post-hardcore shone through a prog infused prism. They take influence from bands such as Fugazi, Faraquet, Mogwai, Meet Me in St. Louis, Pixies, Maps and Atlases and have an unpredictable edge that ensures any listener is kept sufficiently on their toes before knocking them for six with a wall of sound. Their reputation for rattling ear drums in a pleasantly intense manner  has earned them support slots with Sargent House favourites Tera Melos.

JUFFAGE
Juffage (aka Jeff T. Smith) is a solo artist from Leeds, via Chicago, IL.  His previous album Semicircle was recently included in The Guardian's list of "101 Strangest Records on Spotify".  Tonight, he will be performing songs from his forthcoming record set to include guest appearances by Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, Wild Beasts, Sleater-Kinney), Tom Evans (Vessels) & Jenna Isherwood (Invisible Cities)
