Growing up in Belfast in the 70's the FOS brothers fuse an eclectic mix of Floydie, Genesis, Horselips with trad Irish sensibilities, into something really different."

This Belfast-born duo, who are actually brothers, are worth checking out for their guitar sound alone. 
The pair had a unique haunting musical interplay at this gig, in the same way that Thin Lizzy or the All-man Brothers were able to create double the magic by using twin guitars. 
Their intriguing set list was also something a bit special, including their own self-penned material, Irish folk songs and classics by rock legends such as Tom Waits.
Some of the numbers were deeply atmospheric, conjuring up dark country roads and moonlit nights, while others were laid-back pub singalongs.
There was also plenty of friendly banter with the audience, in contrast to the melodic sensitivity of some of their songs. Definitely worth a listen for something very different to the average pub covers band.

The Band has a musicality and flexibility that is rare among the plethora of mediocre Folk/Rock Bands around. Additionally the brothers are Irish, and this prevailing influence, gives a genuine Celtic flavour to the music. I will be booking them again, both here and at my other venues and highly recommend them.
