Humans As Ornaments celebrate the launch of their new single "Think Sharp Kid".
Humans as Ornaments are a 4-piece alternative rock band from Leeds with a passion for strong melodies, playful guitar lines and driving rhythms. Loud, yet 'super catchy', they blend tight, accessible songwriting with instantly memorable vocal hooks. Humans as Ornaments are proud to announce the release of their forthcoming double-A side, 'Think Sharp Kid / Back Around' with a special free entry release party at the Brudenell Social Club with support from some of their favourite local acts.
"These guys seem to have found the key to an absolutely killer chorus. In fact, after the first listen, it becomes increasingly difficult to shake the urge to sing along...If like me, you regularly partake in the highly satisfying act of shaking one’s mop of hair to the likes of Nirvana, Pulled Apart By Horses and grunge/rock in general, then you should definitely add Humans As Ornaments to that list. Happy moshing!" - Champion Up North
"Bursting with loud yet super catchy guitar riffs and driving rhythms throughout. We see similarities with other Leeds-favourites Dinosaur Pile Up with a similar songwriting style, writing riff-driven rock songs that remain accessible" -Beat2AChord
Esper Scout
Esper Scout are an experimental rock band based in Leeds, UK driven by an enthusiasm for harmony, guitar textures and dynamic rhythms which create 'warm dynamic songs with dense textures and vibrant hooks' (Vibrations). Through their blend of memorable melodies, riffs, breakdowns and progressive builds as well as 'heartfelt, precise and clever lyrics which balance weight and depth with accessibility and charm' (24 Our Music), their sound is simultaneously reassuring and memorable but also curious, engaging and exciting by equal measure. With songs and performances that drift through moods from lively to somber, you will easily be drawn in, hooked and willingly shook up by the captivating four piece.
Treason Kings
'My new favourite band' Alan Raw, BBC Introducing
‘The whole effect is akin to The Melvins meeting Biffy Clyro and there is a very dangerous edge that motivates the crowd – definitely one to watch!’
Kevin Donoghue, Native Records
Take Turns
Take Turns play fuzzy indie-rock with big choruses, lots of noise, and probably a few too many solos.
"Undoubtedly the best band in the world right now." -Luke Wheeler, Take Turns
