The Soft Moon

The Soft Moon is a San Francisco based neo Post-Punk band composed of Luis Vasquez (singer/songwriter/guitar/synthesizers), Justin Anastasi (bass), Damon Way (drum machines/synthesizers), and Ron Robinson (visuals). As purveyors of the emerging Post-Apocalyptic sound, The Soft Moon has taken cues from early Synthpunk/Post-Punk bands such as Chrome, Suicide, Danse Society, and The Units.

New Album 'Zeros' Tour

The Soft Moons self-titled debut album was one of 2010's strongest releases; the follow-up, Zeros, is now imminent.

Zeros will be released, like its predecessor, on New Yorks Captured Tracks label, on November 5. Effectively the solo project of Oakland-based Luis Vasquez, the Moons brand of motorik darkwave punk think Factory Floor by way of bs Alice has been bolstered this time around by the production and engineering nous of Monte Vallier at his San Francisco studio.
