Good Folk presents....
She Keeps Bees
+ 2:54 (as seen with Warpaint) + Buffalo Bones
She Keeps Bees are back! Their NEW ALBUM, 'Dig On', is released this spring and they play a very small handful of UK dates in February in the run up to it. Sunday 27th at the Brudenell Social Club is one of them.
She Keeps Bees is Jess and Andy, a couple who make some of the most powerful, soulful, bluesy-rock music I've heard in my generation. Jess' vocals soar above so many others, with her deep riffs being carried along by Andy's rhythmic, tribal drumbeat. Their live show is spellbinding and their chemistry clear; Jess is also the funniest front-person I've ever watched!
'Saturn Return' will be the opening track from the spring-released album 'Dig On' (Names Records), the third full length album from Brooklyn based Jess Larrabee and Andy LaPlant. You can listen below:

Special support on the night comes from:
2:54 2:54 are London-based sisters Colette and Hannah Thurlow you might have seen on tour with Warpaint last autumn, who are making one of the most talked-about new rocknroll sounds around. Schooling themselves on the desert rock testaments of Kyuss and Queens Of The Stoneage, the name itself is a reference to the moment it gets good in their favourite Melvins song. But 2:54 arrive amidst their own distinct mist of ideas, forging a sound thats as haunting and ethereal as it is anthemic, with spectral melodies enveloping tombstone riffs and perilous walls of sound, and drawing as many comparisons to the likes of Mazzy Star and PJ Harvey.

BUFFALO BONESBuffalo Bones are a three-piece rock band making the noise of six. They formed at the start of 2010 when their first ever demo was selected for a local compilation CD in Leeds. Taking influence from The Dead Weather, Beck and Queens of the Stone Age, the band aim to make a bone crunching, earth quaking, hip shaking sound.
