Vialka are a drums and baritone guitar playing duo from Theirs, France.

Much is made of their endless gigging around the planet but with good reason, their insane work ethic and constant quest for new audiences has made them an amazing band. They've done 200+ gigs a year for nearly a decade and their nomadic ways and pioneering spirit has meant they've soaked up a dizzying array of musical styles that go way beyond the art-rock or jazz-punk label that is often attached to them.

"Vialka filter a wide range of the worlds folk musics through a singular jerky polyrhythmic style, which is somehow reminiscent both of 1970s proggers such as Gentle Giant and Magma, and contemporary noise-rockers Deerhoof and Lightning Bolt.
