Ever since the Vivian Girls first hit the scene as a new, cooler kind of girl group back in 2007, we've been obsessed with the trio's low-fi punky sound. But now, bassist Katy Goodman's newest band lets us rock out in a different way.

La Sera has the same fun melodies and catchy hooks of the Vivian Girls, but without their fuzzy, garage-band effect. Instead, Goodman's sugary vocals have an old-school vibe that remind us of the sing-a-long 1950s soda shop hits. And with most of her tracks under two minutes long, each one is totally short and sweet.
