Ganglians (woodsist / Captured Tracks)

With two records coming out almost simultaneously - a self-titled EP and the album "Monster Head Room", the Californians Ganglians are making a name for themselves thanks to their bubbly mixture of pop and garage.

Following the footsteps of the new psychedelia patented by bands like Crystal Stlits, Blank Dogs and Girls, this Sacramento band are not content with vindicating the Beach Boys and know how to sound raw, scattershot and imaginative.

As if this were not enough, songs like "Har" and "Radically Inept Candy Girl" are songs that brighten up your morning.

It's a chorus of voices, a lot of reverb echo, some electronics of the messed up cheap variety, or toy pianos.

It's far away...a little underwater. A lot of noise and yelling, a garage a thon, sounds recorded live in that way that most live stuff doesn't come close to.
