Oliver Pinder

+ Dom Robinson + Vanessa Maria

Oliver Pinder is a 16 year-old singer songwriter from Wakefield in Yorkshire and from the age of 11 he has been writing songs, entering local music competitions and slowly making his way on to his local music scene.

At the age of 13 he was spotted by musicians and promoters at a charity fundraiser at O2 Academy, Leeds where they were raising funds for Martin House Children’s hospice. Then in 2015, his long awaited debut EP ‘Island Rain’ was released and went straight to number 24 in the iTunes Charts, quite an achievement for a 14 year old at the time!

Oliver’s lyrics express sensitivities of today’s youth drawing on personal experiences and observations he has made while travelling.

Oliver has played copious headline gigs and supported many artists including JP Cooper, SOAK, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, RHODES and Marika Hackman which allowed him to play stages in Leeds as prestigious as Belgrave Music Hall, Brudenell Social Club and Leeds University Union, but has also appeared at Fibbers in York and The Grove in Ilkley. Furthermore, he has made the line up of countless festivals: Live at Leeds; Bradford Festival and Routes Festival. With Oliver’s intriguing stage setup consisting of a pedal board, keyboard and multiple guitars as well as drum samples his live performance is something you have to witness.

As well as writing for himself, he has helped other musicians with their releases. You can find Oliver’s name on Lucas Watt’s debut single ‘Worth Fighting For’, Ali Tolley’s debut single ‘Explosion’ and some of YouTube star Hannah Trigwell’s songs. After being inspired by Irish singer-songwriter Orla Gartland in Autumn 2011, Oliver has been singing and writing ever since. In under four years he has developed his skills and confidence in performance but remains the same modest, engaging and very supportive guy that caught the attention of the region back in 2013. He is currently studying towards a Diploma in Music Production at Leeds College of Music, where he met his current manager while she studies for a degree in Music Business. Under the careful eye of record labels, Oliver plans to release more singles in the near future.

His newest single called ‘Give Me Something’ has recently been released. You can listen to it here : https://soundcloud.com/oliverpinder/givemesomething
