NIGHT OWLS

Clawing their way out of the more twisted end of the miasmic swamp of the Leeds music scene that’s previously birthed the strange sounds of the likes of Hawk Eyes, Black Moth, Hook Worms and Pulled Apart By Horses, the pair are focused on delivering a more refinedand honed version of the grunge-laden lofi rock that’s put Leeds squarely back on the international musical map in recent years.

Meeting over a mutual love of music in secondary school, they pull influence from the weirder end of the grunge spectrum, citing the likes of Nirvana, Pixies and Queens Of a The Stone Age as their main loves, with Savages and Warpaint also getting a nod. Blurring the lines between music and art, particularly those that challenge boundaries and make people think, Night Owls are of the opinion that the darker side of life is nothing to shy away from, celebrating the silver lining of those sombre moments sent to try us.

CHEST PAINS

Chest Pains are a Surf Garage Rock band formed in a basement in Leeds. Having played at venues such as The Brudenell Social Club, A Nation of Shopkeepers and others, the band are making a big garage stamp on the exciting DIY music scene of Leeds. Chest Pains are noise-y and raw, with just enough pop-y undertones to keep you wanting to dance.

They played their first show in their own basement, and more recently their tenth show

in their basement once again, however this time along good friends of theirs The Orielles and Virgin Kids. Their most recent video was also shot in the basement by close friend Sammy Jarvis.

CLASSICALLY HANDSOME BRUTES

Classically Handsome Brutes may have been Yorkshire's best kept secret in 2015. Renowned for their explosive live performances, the math-core trio from Leeds have steadily been increasing their notoriety; with their signing to Till Deaf Do Us Party Records in early 2016 Classically Handsome Brutes look to be a hard band to ignore.

CATTLE

Cattle are equal parts head and guts, an all screaming, all dancing noise-groove wall of sound, with stomach churning riffs and double drumming that will take you through hell with a hip-shake. They have released one EP with their debut album on the way in 2016. As seen with True Widow, The Intelligence, Zeus, Eagle Twin and Yak among others."
