In the spring of 2021, Leeds duo Mega Happy started work on their forthcoming mini album, "Please Don’t Be My Dreams", striking a depth of maturity with a cohesive sound that many artists who are albums deep into their discography only flirt with.
Their first single from the mini album, “Have You Seen Her”, was released recently to rave reviews, major radio play and was celebrated with a sold out show at Hyde Park Book Club.
“We’re really proud of what we’ve created here as a piece of art. The songs stretch back from the inception of the band to the forefront of what we’re creating currently, all whilst maintaining a strong sense of cohesiveness. The themes that run throughout the piece neatly tie it together and imbue it with our identity as a band. It’s a manifestation of one our core philosophies to create something that you would want to listen to yourself. This is something we always wanted to hear and no one else is making, so we’re unbelievably pleased to be able to share it with the world.” – Mega Happy
As well as working away on their debut record, they have been making their presence known as a live act, engaging audiences across the UK, most notably performing sold out shows at Rough Trade in Nottingham as well as performing with indie scene mainstays such as Blondes and Red Rum Club.
