DR FEELGOOD

Formed on Canvey Island in Essex in the early 1970s Dr. Feelgood remains one of the most popular and exciting live rhythm and blues acts in the world. The raw and uncompromising style of their performance resulted in the album Stupidity that immediately went to the number one position in the U.K. charts.

Dr. Feelgood have also enjoyed global success with a string of hit singles including Roxette, Back in the Night, Milk and Alcohol, Down at the Doctors, She Does it Right, Going Back Home and See You Later Alligator - which gave the group their first gold record.

The last album to feature Lee Brilleaux - Down at the Doctors, was recorded live at the Dr. Feelgood Music Bar on Canvey Island, (now the site of the Oysterfleet Hotel) just two months before he died.

The current line up features the rhythm section Kevin Morris on drums and Phil Mitchell on bass (both 36 years), Steve Walwyn on guitar (30 years), and Robert Kane (formerly of the Animals) the most recent addition – joining in 1999.

Julien Temple’s film Oil City Confidential released on 2nd February 2010 tells the story of the bands formative years featuring the Wilko Johnson era.

May 2011 saw the digitally re – mastered re release of Chessmasters originally released in 2000 on EMI Records … the band’s tribute to the Chess label, home to many of the finest blues artists of the 20th century and the first Dr Feelgood album to feature Robert on vocals.

The band continues to tour extensively throughout the World.

KRISS BARRAS BAND

UK Guitarist Kris Barras has a genre-defying sound: a high-energy hybrid of no-nonsense Rock, Blues and Country. Winners of ‘Best New Band’ in the 2018 Planet Rock awards, the Kris Barras Band have become one of the UK’s fastest rising acts. Recently voted one of the 'Top Blues Guitarists in the World' (Music Radar) and winning the ‘Best Album’ accolade in the European Blues Awards, perhaps best demonstrates the band’s fluidity and appeal to fans of different genres.

Inspired by his father at the early age of only five years-old, Kris was already making an appearance on stage before turning Ten. He has since gone on to spend more than twenty years thrilling audiences throughout the globe playing live in a variety of acts. after forming the kris barras band in 2015, the band have enjoyed a rapid rise to success in just a few years. After a self-released debut album in 2016 (Lucky 13), The release of the much anticipated second album, 'The Divine and Dirty' is when Kris really started to turn heads. Released in March 2018, ‘the divine and dirty’ headed straight to Number 1 in both the Amazon Bestseller's and the iTunes Blues Charts. The album also reached number 3 in the Official UK Blues charts.

The band have appeared at major festivals throughout the UK and Europe. These include Ramblin' Man Fair (UK), Rawa Blues Festival (Poland) and Bliuzo Naktys (Lithuania) as well as tours alongside Beth hart, Joanne shaw Taylor and an upcoming tour with black stone cherry.

In April 2018, it was announced that Kris would become the new frontman for USA super-group, Supersonic Blues Machine. The band feature's legendary artists such as ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Steve Lukather (Toto), Eric Gales, Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule) and Walter Trout. kris has toured throughout Europe with the band and will feature on all upcoming releases.

Kris was nominated for 'Blues Guitarist of the Year 2017' by Total Guitar magazine and voted into the Top 15 Blues Guitarists in the World by Music Radar.

The band have enjoyed a lot of radio airplay, with three ‘a’ list singles on planet rock as well as numerous bbc plays and live performances. in June 2018, the kbb appeared on BBC Radio 2 with Richard Madeley, with an interview as well as performing two acoustic tracks live on air to over 3 million listeners.

Interestingly, Kris used to have an unusual side-job alongside his music career. Although recently retired, Kris had a successful 10 year professional mixed martial arts career, which saw him compete and train in Las Vegas, Thailand and Singapore. With a total fight record of 14 wins 2 losses and 1 draw.

“People used to think I was crazy to be fighting in cages, risking damage to my hands. Truth is though, I always enjoyed it and found that the fighting world offered me more opportunities than the Music industry. I got to fight in front of 8000 people in Asia.....I would’ve much rather had played to them instead of getting punched in the face!”

FELIX RABIN

Félix Rabin is a singer-songwriter and gifted guitarist. The French 23 year was inspired by musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Pink Floyd.....his style embodies these influences and blends contemporary Rock, with inventive riffs and moody melodies.

Loving music as long as he can recall, the desire to play came suddenly and when Félix picked up his first guitar at 15.......this is when the story began. After touring around France, playing several times at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland where he was born and lived since childhood, Félix is now ready to take his music and open doors in new territories. Fortunately, one of these is the UK!

Given the amazing response he has received after only a handful of appearances in this country, he says; "As a French guy, I really can feel that music is much more into the culture of English people - I mean you can feel that Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and all the other great ones come from here !"

RYK MEAD BAND

Ryk Mead, singer/guitarist, songwriter, Musical Director; Heart and soul of the band. A confirmed guitar virtuoso, started a gigging career on stage in the late 60s, touring in Germany from October 1969, he has built a reputation on solid experience gained alongside some of the worlds famous names, such as: Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Annie Lennox, Alison Moyet, The Pretty Things, Steve Waller (Manfred Man's Earth Band), Paul Fox and Dave Ruffy (The Ruts), Elmer Gantry (Stretch / Alan Parsons Project) Beverley Martyn (partner of former icon John Martyn) and a host supporting musicians from the professional arena. Working through many styles and genres, as professionals often do, Ryk has paid his dues and now has a world of experience to draw on. But if you listen you will hear in all these styles the heart of the blues.

JIMMY REAGAL AND THE ROYALS

A howlin’ blues three piece - harmonica, guitar, drums – modelled after acts on the Fat Possum label such as RL Burnside and T Model Ford and in the tradition of Hound Dog Taylor and the like. But we also throw in a good heap of Little Walter and New Orleans music, including Professor Longhair and James Booker, making for a unique mix. We’ve been featured in Blues in Britain and our debut CD, a mix of originals and covers, has been getting radio airplay on blues programmes around the country and the US. Our motto: “Work all day for money, fight all night for love.”

ZOE SCHWARZ BLUE COMMOTION

Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion refresh the blues genre with eclectic arrangements, virtuosic playing and vocal prowess.  With an exciting live set based around rootsy original songs, strong catchy riffs and exciting grooves, they mix old school tradition with contemporary flare and sophistication.

Zoe’s dynamic and commanding vocal delivery is complimented by the unmistakable touch and flow of Rob Koral-guitar, and the highly accomplished rhythm section of Pete Whittaker-Hammond organ and Paul Robinson.

The band have made a considerable impact these last several years and have added a fresh approach and vibrancy to the UK Blues scene.  Amongst many awards and nominations, they were finalists in the last UK Blues Awards with Female Vocalist and Album of the year; and have enjoyed multiple BBC Radio 2 and 3 plays.
