MU presents
How to Win Friends and Influence Promoters
Workshop
The MU is hosting a series of events around gig promotion, to help musicians attract bigger audiences to their shows through the effective use of promotional methods and social media.
These sessions will be delivered by Manchester Promoter Jay Taylor (Night & Day), and will cover all aspects of event promotion – from announcing a show to working with venue promoters, other acts on the bill and ticketing platforms to reach fans and sell tickets.
As many artists have a varied live career, the advice will cover headline, support, festival, ticketed and free performances and will also look at how to promote both one-off shows and tours.
The sessions will be useful to new and emerging artists who book and promote their own shows, but the content will also prove valuable to more established artists who are keen to explore ways of growing their existing fan base.
This event is free and non-members are welcome to attend, although priority will be given to members if the event is oversubscribed.
If you have any questions or special access requirements, please contact the regional office on 0161 236 1764 or email manchester@theMU.org
