EVIL BLIZZARD presents
Blizzardween
+ Bilge Pump
Let me introduce you to Preston’s EVIL BLIZZARD. A drunken idea, come to life. A musical infusion, brought to- gether by the band’s love of classic rock, indie, metal, ABBA and even goth.
After opening for an eclectic mix of contemporaries including Hawkwind, Rainbow, Killing Joke, Public Image Limited , Space, Sleaford Mods, Chameleons Vox, Ruts DC and Embrace. It appears that no musical genre is im- mune to the subtle charm that is the Evil Blizzard live experience.
After the success of their debut album “The Dangers of Evil Blizzard” . Richard McNamara and Steve Firth of Multi-Platinum selling Embrace, locked the lads in their studio and produced their follow up album, the haunting and bombastic “Everybody Come to Church” . The album went on to sell-out on-line in TWO HOURS !
Classic Rock Magazine went as far as describing their second album ’Everybody Come to Church’ as ‘THRUMMING WITH DYSTOPIAN MENACE AND MADNESS’. A very accurate description of a band in full flow.
From the album came the anthems “Sacrifice” and “Are you Evil?”. The latter being lauded by Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue as his ‘Single of the Month ‘ on his globally acclaimed, Sixx Sense show in August 2015.
Live, Evil Blizzard are a phenomena ,like no other. Mark Burgess of Chameleons Vox described the band as
“ Margins beyond any other opening acts !”
2017 saw Blizzard opening for Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow at the Stone Free Festival at London’s O2 Arena . Alongside selling out the Underworld in Camden, LiVe Room in Preston., The Lending Rooms in Leeds, Ban- nerman’s in Edinburgh and 53 Degrees in Preston at their now infamous Blizzmas Ball.
2018. Evil Blizzard will be releasing their new single “Fast Forward, Rewind” on 12th February 2018 at another sold out show at Camden’s Underworld and with the release of their third album in the Spring /Autumn. It’ll mean that in 2018, no club ,venue or Festival stage, will be safe to hide from Evil Blizzard .
