BRUDENELL PRESENTS...
Chest Pains + Treeboy & Arc
+ plus guests
CHEST PAINS - Forming in 2016, Chest Pains, made up of Sammy Robinson, Cal Crombie, Sam Robinson & Calum Coleman quickly and indelibly made their mark with first two singles ‘Petrified’ and ‘Shame’, this opening salvo leading to comparisons to the likes of Savages, Oh Sees and Pissed Jeans and earning the band support slots with The Orielles, Dilly Dally, JC Satan, Drahla, and praise from people including Loud & Quiet, The Line Of Best Fit, DIY, Clash and many more.
This November will see the release of their debut EP, produced by MJ (Hookworms) at Suburban Homes Studio. Showing the bands development, ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ is more complex and diverse than ever while it has lost none of its urgency, blunt lyricism and thrilling aggression.
TREEBOY & ARC - Having become known as one of the most exciting up & coming bands in Yorkshire, Treeboy & Arc are soon to release new single ‘Selma’ before embarking on a UK tour with fellow Leeds band Chest Pains.
Now consistently performing to packed-out rooms and showcasing new songs at almost every gig, James Kay (Bass, Vocals), Ben Morgan (Guitar, Synth, Vocals), George Townend (Lead Guitar) & Isaac Turner (Drums) seem to be moving at an uncontrollable pace and taking no prisoners along the way. Known not only for playing shows, you’ll often spot all four members at shows in-and-around Leeds. Whilst their own band is embedded within the Leeds Post-Punk scene alongside the likes of Drahla, Mush and Chest Pains, the members themselves have a deeply rooted passion for live music and enjoy supporting the local scene in any way possible.
“Leeds undeniably has one of the best music scenes in the UK right now and it’s for that reason why we spend all of our money in local venues. We’re secretly planning something special for our Leeds single launch which is why currently it appears non-existent. Sit tight Leeds, big announcements coming soon.”
Moving at such a quick pace over the past year has seen Treeboy & Arc share bills with the likes of Parquet Courts, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and more recently Kagoule.
