The Brudenell Social Club

Hire the Brudenell

The Brudenell Social Club does not organise music events and has no in-house promoter.

The two routes to playing at the Brudenell are:

1. Contact a local promoter by checking local gig listings and music forums. Cops and Robbers and Leeds Music Scene are good places to find local promoters.

2. Organise your own event.

  • Please call the club or email bookings [at] brudenellsocialclub.co.uk to enquire about the cost of hiring the gig room. Deposits must be paid in cash at the venue. Cancellations made within 4 weeks of your booking will result in the deposit being kept.
  • The PA in the Brudenell is owned by the Entertainments Committee. Hire costs, and conditions of hire, will be supplied to you when you book the room. Please note, as of June 2007, only Brudenell engineers are permitted to operate our PA. If you require a bigger PA then this will have to be arranged independently by you. Please bear in mind the limitations of the club size and acceptable sound volume; the in-house PA is sufficient for most gigs. If you have any questions please email sound [at] brudenellsocialclub.co.uk

More info

The capacity of the gig room is 300 people. If your gig is likely to be a lot less busy, consider having the bands play on the floor in front of the stage.

You can load in from 4pm onwards on day of hire (12pm on weekends). You must organise your own door staff.

The Brudenell has been threatened with the loss of its’ entertainments license in the past because of noise complaints. Please be considerate to local residents;

  • All promoters must ensure the music finishes by 11pm Monday-Saturday and 10.30pm Sunday, even if the bar is licensed till midnight. This essential to avoid further noise complaints! Please time your event with these deadlines in mind. No extensions can be granted.
  • All firedoors must be kept closed at all times while bands are playing.
  • The dressing room door must be kept closed while bands are playing.
  • Load all equipment out via the FRONT doors at the end of the night.
  • Any drinks taken outside of the dressing room MUST be poured into pint glasses.
  • Any damage must be paid for by the promoter. This includes damage to the in-house PA.
